Today, in a new phase of accelerating its development, Togo is continuing and expanding the efforts already made to provide an even more attractive ground for investment.

Improving the business climate is a top priority, as reflected in the creation of a taskforceanchored at the highest level of the state.

Axis 1 of the National Development Plan (NDP) positions the implementation of large investments in logistics and business infrastructure as the main source of growth in the short term. It aims to set up an excellent logistics hub and a world-class business center in the sub-region, notably by improving existing infrastructure, multimodal connectivity and ICT.

The establishment of a multi-service logistics platform and other logistics facilities at the exit of the city of Lomé on an area of ​​at least 50 hectares is envisaged and requires a fair share of short and medium term investments in the perspective to make Togo a focal point for logistics infrastructure.

The infrastructure will consist of a dedicated road with access to the harbors, a secure gate complex at the edge of the port area, truck parking, basic on-site infrastructure and other appropriate facilities ( control center, offices, housing and restaurants).

Logistics is therefore a completely different sector of the Togolese economy that tends to diversify and move towards private and foreign investment in order to reposition Togo on the international scene.
